SIDLIT 2025 Call for Proposals

Summer Institute for Distance Learning and Instructional Technology (SIDLIT) 2025 is on July 18th at WSU Tech NCAT Campus.

Share your knowledge and expertise at the 2025 Summer Institute for Distance Learning and Instructional Technology (SIDLIT) Conference, held July 18, 2025 at WSU Tech NCAT Campus in Wichita, Kansas. 

Every year, the success of the conference depends on YOU sharing your knowledge and experience with our community. We encourage you to submit a proposal for a concurrent session (in-person or virtual). 

The theme of SIDLIT 2025 is โ€œTransforming Challenges into Opportunities: Education in a Changing World.โ€ Consider submitting a proposal aligned with one or more of these tracks:

  • Design Thinking and Development 
    Designs for online and blended learning including learner experience design (UX), methods for instilling diversity, equity and inclusion, student connections, and more.
  • Educational Research and Data Analysis 
    Original research on educational technologies, distance teaching/learning best practices, program outcomes, learning outcomes, and other topics.
  • Educational Technologies 
    Tips, tricks, and resources for adopting and effectively utilizing emerging tech tools and learner experiences in online and blended learning environments. The focus should be on how these technologies promote student connections to content, peers, and instructors.     
  • Education Technology Leadership 
    Research and insights on managing the dynamic world of educational technology.   
  • Innovations in LMS and Online Learning  
    Innovations in online learning including LMS, such as third-party tool integrations and LTIs, data portals, accessibility mitigations, excellent technology support, live learning events, and others.      
  • Teaching and Learning at a Distance
    Tips, tricks, lessons learned, and resources for effectively teaching fully-online, using video conferencing tools, or a blended or hybrid format. Methods for connecting with students at a distance. 
  • Sponsored Programs  
    Applied technologies, research, and educational insights provided by our conference sponsors!   

Session formats include:

โ€ข In-person 45-minute Lab-like Experience
โ€ข In-person poster presentation
โ€ข Virtual 45-minute Regular Presentation
โ€ข Other (contact the presentation committee chair, April Robbs, for the special arrangements that you need)

Presenters must register for the conference.ย 

Register by June 30th for a discount. The cost of SIDLIT 2025 is $30 for the in-person version, and $15 for the virtual version. 

Registration after July 1 will be $45 for in-person attendees, and $20 for virtual.
